Situated in the wilderness and isolation of Canyon Point, Southern Utah, the Amangiri Resort and Spa is the epitome of a desert oasis. Designed by architects Rick Joy, Marwan al-sayed, and Wendell Burnette, the Amangiri Resort and Spa wouldn’t look out of place in the latest bond movie.
What does Amangiri mean?
Amangiri means ‘Peaceful mountain’, an apt name for a resort nestled in an out of the way corner of southern Utah surrounded by canyon mountains.
Who owns the Amangiri resort?
The company that created the Amangiri also hosts over 30 other resorts and hotels around the world, each more exclusive and luxury than the last.
As you can see from the pictures, the architects behind the Amangiri chose materials to allow the resort to blend seamlessly into its surroundings. The pools follow the contours of the mountain and the windows are designed to give visitors the very best views throughout the entirety of the resort.
How much does the Amangiri cost?
With 34 rooms and 10 tented pavilions there’s no shortage of choice when it comes to accommodation.
However, this does come with a price.
Averaging £1700 ($2233) a night, the Amangiri isn’t for the faint-hearted or the light pocketed. But hey, exclusivity doesn’t come cheap I suppose.
Is Amangiri dog friendly?
Yes! But only specific rooms so it may be a little more expensive. 🐶
Who is the photographer?
The series below was shot by photographer Joe Fletcher. He’s done a fantastic job in giving the Amangiri the justice it deserves and is probably the closest you or I will ever get to actually being there. Sadly… 🙁
